Hands of a New Creation, Inc grew out of our founder's decision to speak openly as a survivor of domestic violence. Her experience of fear, isolation, and courage shapes every choice we make. She knew survivors needed more than a bed for a few nights, they needed people who truly understood. That conviction led to our confidential shelter, 24-hour hotline, and survivor-led leadership committed to safety, dignity, and real second chances.
Our work is grounded in trauma-informed care, family unity, and long-term stability. We listen first, then help survivors create safety plans, access counseling, and stay with their children in a secure home. Education support, job training, and housing resources are woven into practical daily support. Every plan respects each person's pace and story, so women and children can rebuild lives marked by security, confidence, and economic independence.
Since opening in 2023, we have expanded from a survivor's testimony into a comprehensive support network. Our services now include a 24-hour hotline, safe housing, counseling, and an intensive two-year transitional program. We partner with hospitals, law enforcement, and community agencies, strengthening response for women and children in crisis. As we grow, our promise remains steady, survivor-led leadership, practical support, and a clear path toward lasting safety and self-sufficiency.

Our founder survived domestic violence and built this organization so other women wouldn't face it alone. She knows firsthand how terrifying it is to leave, how hard it is to rebuild, and how crucial it is to have support that doesn't quit after a few weeks. Her experience shapes our approach - from the 24-hour hotline to the two-year transitional program that gives families real time to heal and stabilize. She leads with the understanding that safety is just the beginning.
